Today is recipe day, I decided to talk about breakfast which is supposed to be the most important meal of the day. I'll be honest, I am so not a breakfast person. When I did Whole30 I forced myself to eat breakfast and followed the plan religiously. But I was usually a bit nauseous afterwards. When you work shift work and have to be up at 430 in the morning to start getting ready for work a heavy breakfast that you would normally eat around 930 in the morning does not sit well that early. I prefer to drink a protein shake.
I have tried many protein powders over the years and I admit some are pretty good like New Zealand Whey. But many including the vegan protein powders are gritty and either have a dirt like after taste or have so much sugar in them that they are too sweet. I discovered Shakeology recently and I spent the $40 dollars to have there sample pack shipped to me so I could try all the flavours including the vegan version, and I have to say it's the best tasting protein drink that I've ever had. I use it every day and I have started to experiment with different ingredients. Experimenting makes Shakes fun, so be adventurous and try something different.
Everyone is different and has different needs. If you are like me and you prefer protein shakes for breakfast try to get samples of different protein powders so that you find the one that is best for you. If you are interested in learning about Shakeology go to this site to learn more about it.
